The parking lot is located on Forest Road 234 and FM 1375.
Plenty of room for horse trailers. The center of area is all weather parking.
Remember the trails do not "officially" connect to the parking lot (or we would have to
share it with the motorized groups) but do take up just a few yards away on the next
Forest Road, 234-C. You can stop at the District Office on FM 1375, during the week
and pick up maps of the multi use trails!
We are also working with the Forest Service on
improving the Hunters Camp entrance located on
Forest Road 217-A Coldspring side.
This area is open to all non-motorized users.
There are NOT designated trails or marked but
it is easy to follow the trail where others use.

As a reminder to all there is a day user fee required when using the multiuse trails, located on the New Waverly side of the SHNF. It is $5.00 per day per person or $25.00 for the annual pass. The pass should be carried on your person while you are riding on the multiuse trails. You can obtain this only at the SHNF District Office located on FM 1375 Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
SHFEA urges all forest users to acquire this permit. The pass is for one year from date of purchase.
